Rosedale
Guys, can anyone please update on Rosedale project. I am hearing from various sources that promoters of this project have no money to complete it. Because of lack of money they also raised additional housing structure- named it executive- building right inside the Rosedale compound which was not a part of original project plan.

BTW oi chobi ta New Town er. Action area I. June 13th inaugurate hobey. The problem is if they make these stalls and allocate it to the illegal footpath grabbers, a new wave of footpath grabbers will come in. |

An IAS officer tries to remove some hawkers from footpath and accomodate them in a food court. We need to criticize that as well !!!!
So what do we want? Ideal case is hawkers are forcefully removed and that everybody knows will never happen in Bengal.....So isnt this the right thing to do? Should we not wait and see if the administration is strict enough to stop hawkers from coming again and then criticize? Or is it because something positive is happening in Mamata regime and we need to criticize? |

![]() As if Supremo cares two hoots about any criticism. A newspaper close to Supremo reported today that she has claimed completion of 5 years worth of work in one and half years. Apparently she has no work remaining. With that kind of overachievement only fools will dare to criticize her. ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

I am not criticising the move to build food stalls, but why not advertise it and ask professional people to apply. It can become like a food street of NT. My point is why the illegal encroachers are being given so much importance? If we keep giving them so much importance, they will start blackmailing using political patronage. Every time they encroach they will ask for rehabilitation and compensation. If they can't be kicked out, keep an open vat near their shops.

I totally agree with Niladri. Why are encroachers given the facility of food parks. Secondly, we all know that once the encroachers move into the food parks, new hawkers will occupy the emptied footpaths.
I do not know if any of you know... Gariahat after operation sunshine a market was built for hawkers by the hawkers, Shatadeep. Hundred hawkers shifted there but now that very hawker market is blocked and overshadowed by a hundred new hawkers right at their doorstep. I think we are reaching a point where encroaching will be a new investment scheme which will give handsome returns.. move over chit funds!
