Projects & Discussion | INNER CITY FRINGE | Ashmore Estate, Erskineville

I think its time to start a thread dedicated to developments in the Ashmore Estate, Erskineville.

We now have Erko up and running with 300+ units - though the terraces and Block D are still being developed. http://www.erkoapartments.com.au/

Eve apartments is under development http://www.evebyfridcorp.com.au/

And 2 new developments, Sugarcube apartments & Honeycomb Terraces are for pre-sale.
http://sugarcubehoneycomb.com.au/

Beneath Erko a great looking café/bakery is about to open: https://www.facebook.com/Foodcraftespressoandbakery

that's a new one going up in erskienville... Shhhhh don't tell clover, ha ha.

I was house hunting in erskienville on Saturday, damn it's changed. And some of the places I looked at (while expensive) were finished really well!!! It's walking distance to everything too. More of this in these areas is needed please. I could even give up the golf... No I couldnt, but I thought about it.

There are some fine designs u/c and waiting in the wings at Ashmore, but they are all so much the same height. Even C.19th Paris is not that rigidly controlled.

Said it before, I'll say it again: Ashmore needs a couple/few taller towers.

Imagine some of these designs at 15 or 20 storeys: fantastic! Opportunity lost? Thanks CoS.

The Goodman Industrial Sites in the Eastern side of Ashmore Estate was earmarked for a 20+ storey tower and a couple of 12 storey apartments. Does anyone have more information on this?

A pity they are all so low rise.

Wonder by Fridcorp is no longer - not sure who has now bought the site?
