Exclusive: Related Group revealed as developer of Las Olas tower project
https://www.bizjournals.com/southflo...las-tower.html

Miami-based development powerhouse the Related Group is behind the proposal to build the 46-story RD Las Olas tower in Fort Lauderdale, according to new documents obtained from the city.

As the Business Journal previously reported, an affiliate of Steelbridge Capital filed a site plan application for the one-acre property at 201 S. Federal Highway and 227 S.E. 6th Ave. The full application received by the city shows that the Related Group would be the developer of the apartment building, as it has several lots under contract from Steelbridge Capital and local owners Allen N. Jelks Jr., Marie Entry and Tiffany Mathis.

RD Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale by the Related Group would have 352 apartments, 3,200… more

Steelbridge Capital bought the neighboring SunTrust Centre office building for $90 million in 2016. The portion of the property that the Related Group wants for its project currently has drive-thru lanes for SunTrust Bank........................................

How is the Wave doing? Latest publicity seemed like a lot of doom and gloom, delays at best.

Riverfront condo in Fort Lauderdale could be terminated, redeveloped (Renderings)

The Edgewater House Condominium along the Tarpon River in Fort Lauderdale could be demolished to make way for a 24-story apartment building by Trammell Crow Residential.

On Sept. 26, the city’s Development Review Committee will consider the application for the 34,669-square-foot site at 501 S. Federal Highway (Southeast Sixth Avenue.) It’s on the other side of the river from the Historic Stranahan House Museum.

The 30-unit condo was built in 1980. In order for the redevelopment to move forward, most of the units would have to be purchased by the developer and the condo association terminated. The condo association signed a declaration in support of the development application.

Maple Multi-Family Development LLC, an affiliate of Trammell Crow Residential in Dallas, was listed in the application as the developer. Attorney Courtney Crush, who represents the developer, couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

The 181-unit apartment tower would be called Alexan-Tarpon River. It would total 321,967 square feet, with 166,407 square feet for residential. Designed by Stantec, the building would have an amenity deck on the seventh floor with a pool facing the river. There would also be a lawn and lounge deck along the river. It would have 239 parking spaces.
