My pics of Lisbon - part 1

Recently I spent 4 days in Lisbon, here's a selection of pics I made. The weather was far from perfect for a photo tour, anyway...

Right before entering Lisbon from the south through the 25 de Abril bridge you see on the right Almada’s Cristo Rei, the first of many charming places to behold the city. So let’s go up!

Due south you find Lisbon ‘lovely’ suburbs like Almada. Nothing to see or do here (apart from Cristo Rei) Well, in the future they might have a “Luis Figo museum” since he grew up here

Lisbon & the bridge

This pic was heavily inspired by Justme

We crossed the bridge and started the visit in Restauradores square:

Eden Theatre (left) and Palácio Foz (right)

Stylish Hard Rock Café (a former cinema)

Portuguese flags everywhere. The Euro 2004 flooded the country with flags and many of them haven’t been removed.

Rossio train station

Rossio square

This is a peep show

And this is a record shop

Elevador da Glória, essential to overcome Lisbon’s steep streets

Town hall square

Town hall

Comércio square

There was a photo exhibition going on

Augusta street

Santa Justa Elevator, it saves you time and sweat to reach Bairro Alto quarter.

Going up to the castle in a tram, yahooooo

St. Luzia

Views from the castle

Alfama quarter

“Escadinhas do Terreiro do Trigo” is not the world’s narrowest street, but its name may be the longest among the narrowest

Casa dos Bicos

Chiado quarter was known for its cafes, book shops and bohemian living. It was burnt down by a fire in 1988 but now has come to life again.

Awesome! I hope you don't mind if I use some of these in the not-so-distant future.
