Aside from gradually melting into the harbor and increasing its supply of guano, it hasn't changed much since the army abandoned it back around 1920. A curious factoid is that it was designed by none other than Robert E Lee in a pre-rebel army job.

There are 3 more forts...Ft. Howard, Ft. Smallwood, and Ft. Armistead. I know parts of the last 2 are still standing.

Yes, it's from Canton Crossing. As much as people hate the building, it has one of the best views of the city. My opinion.
