The Metro de Lima seems to be quite an impressive project. Are there any news about Line 3's tender? I have heard that the general elections next month in Perú could delay the whole process, even if ProInversión recently stated that the tender was still scheduled for Q3 of 2016.
Thanks for your answers.

There, it says the tunels of the new 2nd Line are made to stand sismic tremors, even in a 9 grade earthquake (wich is quite incredible, but great, obviously). That's probably why the first Line was in high structure, other than underground.

Picture of test in Velim shows provisional pantograph and there seems to be a third rail current collector at the bogies on the other pictures. So line 2 will use third rail and line 1 has pantograph, can anyone confirm this?

Kind regards

They will use panthographs like line 1 trains. It will look like this:

There is even a slot on the roof for the pantographs how you can see in this picture:

Haven't heard anything about this in a while, and my Spanish isn't good enough to figure out exactly what's going on, but apparently and unsurprisingly, there are problems. This is from September 21 of last year:

Fiorella Molinelli, Deputy Minister of Transport, explained to Gestión.pe that her portfolio is in talks with the concessionaire of Metro Line 2 of Lima to redefine the sections where this work will pass, following technical but also economic criteria, that generate impacts in the citizenship.

He also announced that the first section of Line 2 of the Lima Metro, from Ate to La Victoria (Central Station) will be ready in 2018

[...] Specifically, what has been raised?

It has been suggested that there is the possibility of having a section that runs from Santa Anita (Ate) to the Central Station, located on Avenida 28 de julio (located in the district of La Victoria) where it would already have a technical sense because you already interconnect With Line 1 of the Metro, More or less we are talking about 12 kilometers. A second stretch from Central Station to Faucett could be a new approach and from Faucett there is a possibility and alternatives would be studied to develop in an aerial way, which would imply a significant cost reduction for the country
(Faucett is the boulevard at the junction with linea 4, so they're talking about going elevated to avoid soft-ground tunneling, maybe below sea level, for the westernmost 4.5 km. Makes sense to me.).

[...] What problems have been identified in the section from Ate to Central Station?

There is a complicated area that is the closest to 28 de Julio Avenue where we have to remove a set of important land, so we have a highly qualified team to help facilitate the unlocking of these properties. In addition, there is always the possibility of supporting us in the concessionaire because we agree that the law of expropriation and liberalization of properties allows outsourcing, A situation that has not been used by the previous management, but we consider it important to use this route to facilitate the preparation of technical files and appraisals to make land delivery easier.

[...] How much progress has been made in building liberalization?

Little progress has been made.

I was a bit horrified to learn that they were apparently repeating the huge mistake of Linea 1 by building inward from the far suburbs. Nonetheless, AFAIK the idea is still to open a 12 km initial section beginning at the junction with the Metropolitano (COSAC, BRT line) extending all the way to the eastern terminus and including the interchange with Linea 1.
