Can anyone explain to me why the number 6 route (Hanover St. - Parliament) exists?

But surely Lothian must operate this route at a loss. Is there some reason that mandates it?

Edinburgh Transport | General News & Developments

Lothian cut this from the 36 - it use to run to Leith. I think generally a bus serving Holyrood Rd stops the council needing to start subsidised routes to Dumbiedykes again.

20 mph questionnaire

Hello fellow forum users!

Just wanted to introduce myself a wee bit, as I don't think I've posted in Edinbugh forum before. My name is Michal, and I came to Edinburgh nearly 5 years ago from Poland. As some of you may already know I am finishing my degree at Edinburgh Napier, and I am doing my dissertation on 20 mph speed limit, currently extended by the Council.

I would like to check what is people's perception of the 20mph extension and general attitude towards the new speed limit, as well as their observations on different things since it got introduced last summer.

I have designed a survey, which on average takes 6 minutes to complete. Some of you may think, "Another survey, I'll skip it", however I promise you, it should not take more than 6 minutes. I would be super grateful if you guys could take that short amount of time, and complete it please.

I have been informed that I need a lot of answers (about 500), so any help from you would be a benefit.

The link is here:

If you have any questions or feedback, then please message me.
Cheers!

A fair few Green & SNP MSP's use the bus or cycle. Kez used to get the bus, not sure now seeing she's a party 'leader'
