ATLANTA - Philips Arena (18,729)

This Arena is located in Atlanta Georgia. It is home to the Atlanta Hawks, and the Atlanta Thashers. So what do you think?

Very nice architecture......off course as a Dutchman it would all the same be stupid to disapprove a building sponsored by a Dutch company.

Yeah, founded by Gerard and Anton Philips in 1891 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Very surprising they sponsor this stadium, considering unlike other multinationals they only sponsor one single team, which is Eindhoven based PSV Eindhoven.

Oh yeah, would have been nice if you showed pics of the actual playground/field/pitch. I mean, it is an arena, right?

The good thing about this arena is, that all the luxury boxes are located at one sideline, instead of between all the other seats like in many other arenas. And that is a very good thing for the atmostphere.

Although it does give a good backdrop of the downtown skyline, I feel that its design feels overrated.

The inside from a stadium is much more impressive than the outside! I like it though!

Why don't they have the SEC men's basketball championships there instead of the freaking Georgia Dome?

Both the Philips Arena and PSV are sponsored by the same company. There's a spelling mistake in the poll.
