If built, these towers will not be close to City Center.
They have nothing to do with the 10 highrise project.

why would this make tirana more known to the world? theres like 1000 cities with 35 story towers.

Remember....any city can have a tower.
only one, can have an Acropolis

The towers are nothing special, it's their height what is interesting.
We have already 2 towers being built in Tirana that Athens can only dream about
If these towers will get built they will just add to the cities highrises but i dont think they will change the image of Tirana at all.
I personally rather have it this way, less people know about our capital the better.
Let them all talk BS like usual and we do our thing.

when albania wil have a special mark on it's city then it will be known worldwide. athens has acropolis. paris has effil tower. but the i personally would feel much better. athens symbol was built by it's ancestors while as tiranes symbol is built by us. we are defined by what we do not what our grandparents do.

Project looks nice but no way it can become a symbol.

Its architecture is simple and 35 stories is not very high.

I hope it might be a good starting, though.

It's only a proposal besides like i said there's nothing special about these towers.
The same towers you see in Instanbul, they offer little of architectual value imho.
Now TID Tower in the other hand is something worth discussing about

Of course we should discuss about them. They are nice but they lack the things I mentioned above for being a symbol. It was not offensive.

None of the skyscrapers in Istanbul are built for making a name in the world. They are just office blocks, residentals, hotels (maybe except "Diamonds of Istanbul"), not created for being symbols.

I would be happy if we had the same project in Ankara.

Btw they remind me Dikmen Valley towers of Ankara (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=150653), consisting of 4 twin towers (36 floors and 140 m each) connected by a bridge in the center of a valley, as a part of a bigger park project. Architectures are different but the way they put them together is really similar.

if this project gets built it wont give us a simbol but people will see it and be forced to see the new tirane with it because so many people are prejudiced and think tirane is a mud city. they have no idea what it looks like but talk as if they've been there. this project will hep to give a good image to the city. it's not much but its a start. when i said before for albanian having a mark i didn't mean this project. i was just saying in the future tirane will have a special symbol to it because we have unique architechture.

Getting back to this project now what got me thinking is that Kamza project, so these towers if approved could very well be outside the city similar to those Kamza Regency project.
This is a proposal as the site mentions which means that something major is about to happen.

Well it's not like the city lacks millionaires, Hajdin Sejdia wanted a 54 level tower back in 2003 but the french plan ruined his dreams.
He may consider building it somewhere else, who knows.
