I'm in the same camp as you. Even though I don't find Trump Chicago's roof to be perfect, I do prefer it infinitely more than the absolutely awkward (at least from the renders) roof and the spire on Trump Toronto. Hopefully the "hat" blends in more gracefully when all is said and done.

i have aesthetics issues with all of trumps 'gems'. with the amount of towers trump has or is erecting, you'd think that at least one could be agreeably 'beautiful'.

Toronto's may just be the beautiful Trump you/we've been waiting for.

Your optimism is premature.
Wait one year. You will see the real thing.

I will wait for some time to confirm that. I bet many buyers are taking their chances on low 2-3% mortgage rates. Wait when those rates go back to 7-8% and see if they would be able to afford the payments. Some will, but many are going to get in trouble by taking larger mortgage and being fooled with the low interest rates. That's what some experts keep saying.

Toronto's real estate is booming right now which is never a good thing when most others our floundering. When it does eventually tank, and it will, it will be pretty bad for the investors flocking here to buy dozens of units at one pop. However, it does mean a lot more towers for the time being which has me quite giddy. I prefer to have them all at once than evenly spread as we all know it all evens out either way.

That could be said for any project in the city. I'm sure that most that bought in Trump or other high end condos in town have a bit more financial stability then the average Joe.

Well it's finally passed that deco building next to it, hopefully crane maneuverability is easier now that there's more space?

You know, I like it, but I'm still partial to the colour scheme from the earlier renders.

Nice to see it rising, though those windows need some windex.
