im with you. I hate how Deutsche Bank Place gets included in Sydney as 1 of the top 10 tallest when it has a flag spire nearly as tall as its main building which is counted.

From the street with some light on the glass it has a very nice blue colour.

They should get a fair few more panels on tomorrow now the rain has stopped so we should get a better idea.

Proposals & Construction: 300m+ skyscrapers (Supertalls)

Actually this *is* the tower glass (not podium) and it *is* almost identical to Eureka ...

.. which personally I think is a great thing will make it a beautiful blue & gold companion for Eureka !!

This City Council 3D flyover render indicates A108's relationship to Eureka and future One Queensbridge (not rendered, just an empty space here):

All three will be quite close.

Black or very dark navy blue in the first set of pics. Blue in the second set. Almost can't believe it is the same glass. Love towers that change colour as the day goes...

Orion International Group have updated their site and added some details about Orion, there's a few interesting tidbits

Designed by Woods Bagot, the landmark Orion Towers boasts a distinctive modern, cosmopolitan style with subtropical design elements and will reach 103 storeys and contain 1127 units, which will be the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. Orion Towers will feature:

• A 165-room, five-star hotel.
• Australia's highest observation restaurant on level 101 of Tower 2, offering 360-degree views.
• A helipad on the rooftop of Tower 2, which will become the third highest helipad in the world.
• A 680sqm full-floor penthouse on level 100 with ground floor concierge and private lift,
• A five-level, mixed-use podium including ground floor retail designed around a sculptural ‘urban canyon’.
• A “lush” garden deck and recreation area with five pools, including an indoor pool, an eastern pool to catch morning sun and a western pool for afternoon bathing

There's a reason why there aren't many helipads at that height, mechanical/cliff edge turbulence along with gusting wind speeds at that height make for quite difficult landings, meaning it isn't suitable all year round and would only be available to pilots qualifies to land at that site. Stringent regulation of helipads in Australia also mean they end up as oversized beasts with significant engineering requirements.

I am so delighted with the glass. So many shades. I have to see it in person.

A-brain added a "PM" shot of progress that same day, which is a good example of the difference light makes. Prepare, interstaters, for several thousand posts of 108's (and Aurora's) glass going up..... Every city has experienced similar excitement at some stage.

Early morning, afternoon, evening and night shots of each individual panel from below and above isn't too much coverage, is it?

Nice glass. Victoria always seems to get the glass right.
