I have noticed that JLT ponds water leaves a lot of salt when it dries out. It does have to be a sea or at least mixed water, to leave after evaporation a considerable amount of crystalline residue, doesn't it?

What makes you think that such a proximity purifies the pond water?

any residue is probably from the chemicals they drop in the lake on a daily basis.. you can see piles of white powder sitting on the bottom of the lake.

I believe the original plan was sea water, but they currently use ground water and its not well circulated.

True, but JLT was meant to when it was first planned. Then Nakheel alledgely got rid of plans for the pipe that would connect the lakes and the Marina in a cost cutting exercise from what I was told.

More incompetent buffoonery from DMCC!!

I never saw 1 notice posted around JLT and there was no information on their Facebook page but when I went walking early Friday morning they were setting up something called a "Family Day" in the amphitheatre area.

Tables and chairs were set out in the centre and a host of inflatable fun rides around the edges. It was quite warm during the day on Friday so we thought to wait until 5pm to take our little one out to explore the festivity only to find it all finished an packed away.

Thanks for the clear communication on the event DMCC, thanks for shutting it down before the sun even went down, thanks for killing the buzz.

Honestly how do these people keep their jobs?

Guys, Why not put across ideas to DMCC to replace LAKE D?
What's better to have an indoor Sports Club facility (Squash, Tennis, Club Restaurants), or a smelly dirty Lake?

Also, anyone know why there are no road signs to the entrance of JLT, or signboards to the Clusters.

Actually, the lakes without any footbridges are very inconvenient. DMCC management, don't be so stubborn in spending money, build just 1-2 footbridges for each lake - and you'll have tens of thousands thankful people!
