Looks nice. A lot of luxury boxes though. Maybe not enough seats for the average fans. Good architecture though. Will Columbias national team play there when it is completed.

Lots of luxury box's does seem to be quite common in Colombia, due to security concerns maybe?

Looks like Barcelona's stadium in Guayaquil and LDU's in Quito. Is it the same Architect ?

What's going on with all the boxes? I thought S.America would be the last place that needs them. Check these out -

I don't like stadiums with so many boxes.
Is there really such a large demand for them in South America?

Btw what happend during the construction works?
This shots is from 2005 and they haven't done much since then.

I’m guessing this has something to do with economics in South America the difference between the top 25% earners and the lowest 25% earners is huge bigger than many parts of the world and because of this gap there are plenty of high earners who want to watch football but in comfort and I guess greater safety and these boxes aren't as lavish as boxes in Europe or North America they are designed to get the richer people coming too football without costing an arm and a leg like in Europe and North America.

hey, stop saying "south american style". You dont see stadiums with 2 billion boxes in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. The closer you get to it is Boca Juniors Bombonera Stadium, but only one side has boxes (but only boxes on the other hand).

In Brazil that doesnt even exist. And if you are going to say "south america", remember Brazil occupies half of South America and has half of South America´s population.

Thats because 95% of the stadiums in Brasil were built from 1950 to 1980, before luxury boxes became common.
