Jalan Harapan eh... I'm guessing it's the piece of land behind Five Stones, which is also developed by SDB?

Really can't understand why malaysian always like to protest over commercial developments....they will eventually get the benefits from the commercial hub

Malaysians have the mentality of "landed" thus low-density landed properties such as terrace.

When you tell them a 42-storey tower is coming up, they will go GAGA... "aiyo why so tall, why we building tallest tower again, aiyo traffic jam, aiyo pollution, aiyo block my Astro signal, aiyo office again surely no demand, aiyo white elephant for ghosts, aiyo construction dusts and make my house crack, aiyo surely corrupted people's project, etc"

The Hub @ SS2 development update

The Hub @ SS2 commercial development which would’ve been the last development of the 11-acre land (Ameera Residences, and then Five Stones being the first 2 phases of residential development), appears to have been put on hold due to the protest by the residents nearby the development. The initial plan of the development involved a 10-storey high of purely office units, and this was also the information given to prospective buyers of both Ameera & Five Stones during their respective launches.

However, the plan has now changed to have included a 42-storey tall SOHO-type building, which will have impact on both Five Stones and Ameera Residences, depending on the orientation of the building. Obviously many residents and buyers of Five Stones are understandably upset with this as this would’ve blocked the view of KLCC for certain units facing towards that direction and have protested and made their cases to the local authorities.

It appears now that it’s being put on hold – with the SDB website removing the development from it’s Upcoming Development section. The development was scheduled to launch in November. Let’s see how if the plans will indeed change again.

...no wonderlah kene protest....
