Naluchi Bridge (Cable Stayed Bridge) over river jehlum in Muzaffarabad valley, Azad Kashmir.



2009 news:


The prime minister of AJK, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, on Monday performed the groundbreaking ceremony of what is being described as state of the art bridge designed and funded by the Japanese organisations.

The project has been divided into two parts – comprising construction of the 246 metre long bridge and a 4-kilometre long Western Bypass at a cost of Rs 1500 million.

Approach Viaduct
Length: 168 m
Type : 4 Spans Continuous PC Box Girder Bridge

Government of Pakistan decided to allocate a part of the counter part fund of JBIC Emergency Earthquake Recovery Loan to the project on June 2006, and requested technical assistance including detailed design to the Government of Japan. According to the said request from Pakistan, JICA conducted the preliminary design of the project from September to December 2006 as a part of M/P Study.
