- Tasmania -

Our summer holiday in Tasmania ... We flew to Hobart and then rented a car touring the south east of the Island & Port Arthur, then drove off to Swansea onto Frecynet/Coles bay and went on to Launceston - all in 9 days

Tasmania is simply a beautiful Island and its wonderful hinterland and unforgetable cuisines are just stunning.

Enjoy the tour!

Hobart - the 2nd oldest city in Australia!

Hobart Port - bit of little Sydney/Woolloomooloo

There are many maginificent old grand buildings around the town center - although would love to see more modern buildings ...

Salamanca Market - Hobart

Hobart Botanical Gardens

Launceston

Its new Seaport

my favourite restaurant - Stillwater in Launceston

Magnificent Cataract Gorge - Launceston

Tamar Valley Wine region

Evansdale - quaint little town outside Launceston

The Coasts and Natural Beauties

One of the many spectacular coastlines - Eaglehawk Neck

Friendly Beach - near Coles Bay

Frecynet - Spectacular The Wineglass Bay

Coles Bay (in our resort- refer below)

Binnalong Bay - gorgeous little holiday port in north east coast of Tasmania
Pristine beach and endless coastlines - just perfect!

Plenty of new luxurious holiday homes being built here

Historical Port Arthur with its dark past

The animals

Tasmanian Devils

The lazy roo

Wallaby paid a visit to our room

Wally with her bub

The rainforest and waterfall

The accommodations we stayed - highly recommended

Hobart - Henry Jones Art Hotel
