wow, i love all these great gems that we have!!! Anyone else notice the polish consulate? I don't think i've seen another building just like it around the city. Broadway (between Canal and 14th st.) has a ton of great examples of these great gems. From a nice cathedral i love to the good view of the woolworth. Great thread!

What a gorgeous thread. Sad sight that many hotlinks aren't working anymore. How fast everything's disappearing in the web age...

Such beautiful architecture...this is what makes NYC such a beautiful city...TONS of unique architecture both new and old, ugly and beautiful, boring and interesting!!! Gotta love NY!

I prefer newer buildings... but I still love these ones. Many of them are instant classics, and show off the colourful history of New York and America in general.

I love just about all these buildings. The buildings I don't like are all the commieblock type buildings, I don't know who wouldn't like these beauties

This looks like a "Beautiful buildings of New York City" thread to me! :-)

Much of my favorite buildings in NYC are the Art Deco skyscrapers.
The Chanin Building reminds me a lot of City Place in Oklahoma City, I love it!

City Place in OKC (b. 1931):
