It's really nice to get a feel of what it will like in 2 to 3 years. Any updated news on the 38 story Gulch tower?

Wish I could cut/paste the photos to insert into the stream. The last one is my personal favorite.
Let me help you out a bit ...

What's cooler than our Nashville Crane Watch map? A 3-D version, of course

And the eye candy:

No. It's too soon to expect any updates. Don't expect to hear anything on this until at least Q3

This could signal the end of a project slated to bring a grocery store to Demonbreun hill. And it could be a new beginning. Time will tell

New Jersey fund has Demonbreun strip under contract

But the article states, if the sell is completed, there would be 3 phases of construction beginning with apartments atop a parking garage

This could be major news. The First Baptist site on Demonbreun next to the Music City Center (that has been for sell several years) has been sold. More details will be made available Sunday after church

Church finally sells prime SoBro site by Music City Center

This is a repost from MidTenn1 on SSP, because I know he has been having trouble posting here:

A few interesting developments regarding the block on Rosa Parks/8th Avenue between Demonbruen (where the Music City Convention Center sits). As noted above, Cambria Suites is to break ground soon on a 19 story Hotel. However, a large portion of the block has been sold to developers who immediately announced construction a 16 story, 400 room 'upscale' Embassy Suites by Hilton and another, as of yet, undefined and unnamed hotel. The area will be quite crowded with hotels as shown in this crude rendering. The two new ones are shown in yellow and red to the left. Existing hotels are lightly shaded in yellow.

The lightly sketched, transparent massing at right center, is a wishful thinking massing on two lots which were recently bought and combined.

I noticed the first set of piers are up on the 222 Demonbreun St office building. It is going to be a big footprint on the river side.

The Jack Daniels Distillery is in Lynchburg, TN - outside of metro Nashville - but I thought I would post this here for reference

Big $140M expansion in store for Jack Daniel’s distillery

The last renovation just finished a few years ago, and additional capacity is already needed. Of note, the article states there were 275,000 visitors last year

Another hotel expected for the Gulch. According to the article, InterContinental Hotels expects to break ground in the spring of 2017.

Four other Staybridge Suites exist in the state of Tennessee: two in Chattanooga, and one each in Knoxville and Memphis.

This is too good to not share:

- 37,000 sq ft

Looks like the "naked people statue" is about to get a swimmin' hole!

This is for the Musica statue at the Demonbreun roundabout. Looks like there will be an announcement about adding a water fountain, which was part of the original design
