Looks like social projects are problem for IR when it boils down to TN. It affords to let 1.9 million travel ticket-less in N Zone, but have cash crunch when it comes to implementing projects in TN.

IR needs to understand that when a state agrees to share cost for any projects, it does favor for IR for speedy execution of projects with less economic burden to IR.

The problem here is, IR thinks other way. IR feels as if it is doing some favor to state by executing the Railway projects in the states. I dont deny that the final beneficiary is common public of that particular region, but IR needs to understand it has more responsibility to improve railway infra in Indian states and meet public demands in comparison to respective SG.

IR is now in mode of saying "you want new projects, then form JV". It fails to understand that requirement of each state is different and cannot have same scale for JV across Indian states.

A huge number which accounts to nearly 45 million people, or more than the population of Argentina, were caught traveling without tickets or with improper tickets over the last four years, leading to a loss of more than Rs. 1,915 crore.
Northern Railways topped the chart in 2013-14, with more than 1.9 million people traveling without tickets or with improper tickets.
Central Railway lost the maximum amount (Rs 84 crore) from ticket less travel in 2013-14, followed by Northern Railway (Rs. 76.82 crore) and Western Railway (Rs. 75.44 crore) zones.

Did IR execute any JV with BIMARU states?
are only "Ilichavaai" states forming JV with IR?

3. Total cost should be shared. what will happen if LA cost is less and execution cost is more?

Krish. Amma has magnanimously found time to write her first letter to the RM after almost 2 years of the new CG's existence. அதுவே பெரிய வேலை . So many times you have been cribbing on "why Jaya could not find time to talk/write to RM". ஏதோ பெரிய மனசு பண்ணி letter எழுதியிருக்காங்க

you should have said "RM க்கு லெடர் எழுதின காவிரிதாயே வாழ்க" ன்னு போடாம complain பண்றீங்க. How dare you do that?

boss,
the requirement to complete 440 project is around 3.5 lakh Crores..
Railways are doing riguours ticket checking routines and collecting heavy fines.

Dont think all the passengers in North or East are without tickets..

the problem is IR is messed up with many populist measures...things can not be changed overnight...

Suresh Prabhu told 'Bloodless slow operation to be performed in Railways"..

Many times i quoted here on the projects that State govt is working with Railways some thing through JV.

Apart from this, before this JV concept, many states including TN has working with Railways by sharing the cost. Those also i have discussed here.

Nice photo - seems the station is brisk even if trains are not active. Heartening to know that APK's revenue is mostly on reservation - probably boarding at MNM or VPT

Keep demanding for more trains via APK - good luck!

Cheers,
Raj

bro, actually APK people 70% of them likely to use MDU junction because 24hrs bus service between APK and MDU. 30% use VPT. only on fridays we use MNM to board chennai trains because of CAPE-PDY exp connects MNM on that day.
