JUANDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Juanda International Airport, it is the international airport that serves Surabaya city, East Java and its surroundings. Juanda has length basis 3000 meters. This airport actually located in Sidoarjo region, 20 km south side of Surabaya city. Juanda International Airport operated by PT Angkasa Pura 1 (Persero).

PT (PERSERO) I is one of body State owned Enterprises (BUMN) of Communication Department, which active in management and enterprising of airport service in Indonesia. The company mission is to carrying out the management of airport exploiting and its surroundings well and innovative. The new Juanda Airport has 51500 M2 widths, or about twofold compared to stripper terminal which only 28088 M2.

This new airport is also equipped with farm facility to park with a width of 28900 M2 capable to accommodate more than 3000 vehicles. This airport is estimated can accommodate 6 million to 8 million passengers per year and 120000 tons cargo / year. Every day air transport activity through Juanda Airport is noted of 320 times air transport of international purpose and domestic with passenger more than ten thousand, air transport majority of Jakarta purpose.

The airport building is enough luxury and wide earns parallel with Public Square. The door interfacing to space boarding, which have been equipped with counters air of transport firm. The second floor is awaiting passenger space. Its glass wall has faced to basis racing and way cab (the plane road towards base raced). The passenger can see the going and coming of the plane, and also that park in apron. As in Soekarno-Hatta Airport, the passenger is not necessarily go up bus towards door of plane. It is available 11 trunks (garbarata) that become the bridge towards the plane entrance.

The wide screen is put down in some corners. From this Flight Information Display System (FIDS) facility, the passenger can see the arrival schedule and also the plane departure. By this supply of international standard like domestic passenger waiting room and the international . As a whole, the airport can serve 6 million passengers and 120000 cargo tons every year. This airport is also equipped with 4 tanks for fuel supply, with capacities 2000 kilolitre. All development funds are assisted by government of Japan through the program Official Development Assistance from Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).

selamat buat rumah baru bandara internasional juanda... semoga proges T2 nya sesuai target... klo bangunan T1 modern tapi unsur budaya tradisional jawa timur masih dapat kira2 gimana dengan T2 nanti ya kira2 masuh ada unsur budaya jatim munkin ornamen2nya....?

Berharap Lega di Juanda

Baru setengah tahun lagi pengguna moda transportasi udara di Bandara Juanda bisa lega (secara fisik maupun psikis,Red). Sebab, akibat sempat molor 6 bulan, pembangunan terminal II (di bandara lama) ditargetkan selesai Juli 2013 nanti.

Menurut catatan, Juanda memang sudah dimasukkan kategori overload sejak 2009. Bandara ini awalnya hanya diprioritaskan menampung maksimal 6,5 juta penumpang per tahun. Namun sejak 2009 jumlah penumpang di bandara Juanda sudah overload hingga 12,5 juta penumpang per tahun.

Setiap* hari sekitar 34.000 penumpang menyesaki bandara. Padahal bandara ini maksimalnya hanya dapat menampung 17.000 penumpang/hari.*

Trafik lalu lintas take off maupun landing pesawat juga meningkat drastis. Dalam satu jam saja, kurang lebih ada sekitar 40-45 pesawat, padahal normalnya hanya 20-25 pesawat saja. Rata-rata dalam sebulan setidaknya ada 250 pesawat yang take off atau landing di Juanda.*

Sementara, terminal II yang digadang-gadang bisa mulai dipakai 2013 memiliki luas** 49.500 meter persegi dan dibangun 2 lantai. Apronnya sendiri sebesar 100.213 meter persegi. Jika pada desain sebelumnya dirancang mampu menampung 4 juta penumpang, maka desain yang baru ini dirancang mampu menampung 7 juta penumpang pertahun.*

Sedangkan jumlah pesawat yang mampu ditampung di Terminal 2 adalah sebanyak 11 pesawat, sedangkan Terminal 1 sebanyak 13 pesawat. Terminal 2 ini nanti akan digunakan untuk penerbangan internasional dan penerbangan Garuda.

Pemprov Jatim sudah lama mendesak, selain terminal pemerintah pusat juga harus segera membangun double runway di Juanda. Hal itu dinilai penting, karena saat ini di Bandara Juanda, jarak pesawat kedatangan dan keberangkatan hanya 1,20 menit.

Widiw, udah ada aja nih rumah barunya Juanda. Ambil posisi dulu ah.

Omong-omong, di gambar imaji nya Juanda, untuk pesawat badan lebar kok garbaratanya cuman 1 ya?

*31/10: Kena penundaan masuk ke Juanda karena penutupan bandara jam 9 - 10 ada latihan TNI. Ada yang punya foto-fotnya gak?

Di thread sebelumnya, pernah dibahas mode angkutan apa yg digunakan utk menyambungkan T1 & T2.
Ada yg monorail, bus, kereta yg bagus2 itu, dan sebagainya.
Yg saya tanyakan, apa sebegitu perlunya ya penyambungan 2 terminal ini utk penumpang?
Apa mungkin ada penumpang yg transit di surabaya, trus pindah pesawatnya pindah terminal?
IMO, kalo transit kan ya maskapainya sama, masa beda? (Saya ga pernah transit soalnya, hehehe).

Saya tanya krn saya ga tahu, mudah2an ada yg bantu jawab..

tergantung operator.nya juga sih.... yg saya masih bingungin itu, maskapai kaya AirAsia (+Lion suatu saat nanti) kalo punya penerbangan internasional mau ditaruh dimana? T1 apa T2?

kalo ditaruh di T1, maka selama ada jalan buat akses T1 ke T2 saya rasa monorail, kereta, bus, dll masih nggak terlalu mendesak bagi Juanda... IMO sih, maskapai internasional yg ke Juanda (MH, CX, CI) tipikalnya emang pax yg tujuan akhirnya Surabaya, bukan pax yg mau transit ke bandara lain... lain cerita kalo yg ngangkut Lion.... mungkin ada pax yg emang pake SUB sebagai transit... tapi juga nggak banyak2 amat sih... CGK dan DPS masih jadi tempat transit ideal bagi kebanyakan orang Indo yg mau keluar negeri...

nah kalo ditaruh di T2, cukup dikasih shuttle bus non-reguler aja... jd kalo ada penumpang yg pengen ke T1/T2, baru jalan.... why? lihat AirAsia + Silk Air deh.... ngapain transit di SUB kalo bisa langsung ke LOP/DPS? tipikal mereka emang maskapai pure low-cost yg sistemnya point-to-point flight... jadi bisa dipastikan penumpang mereka memang tujuan akhirnya ke SUB... paling cuma Lion yg ada penumpang transitnya... tapi kalo Lion ditaruh di T1, sebenernya jauh lebih memudahkan bagi pax+operatornya... pax nggak perlu ganti terminal, operator nggak perlu repot2 nyiapin transport antar terminal...

bagusnya disambungkan pake transportasi yg gratis,,,,paling mudah ya bus ukuran sedang spt shutle bus-nya soeta.
kalo transit tergantung tujuannya (selain maskapainya)
spt di soeta,,,yg dari DPS menuju Medan tentu harus pindah dari T3 ke T1 (atau T2?) ... utk Lion
terus bagi penumpang yg mentransitkan diri misal dari DPS ke SUB pake lion lalu dari SUB ke CGK pake garuda,,kan harus pindah tempat. atau dari DPS ke SUB lalu ke SIN
