First time viewing this thread, and let me tell you: the lovely coastline in itself made me a bit fooled because going to your city pictures, I was shocked at how much modern, built up, and wonderful Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) is! When you showed the city overview (not your picture), I was deeply impressed by the prominence of the large Catholic Church perched against a background full of yachts sailing on the Atlantic shoreline, and I am particularly impressed by how built up your city is, especially it reminds me that one doesn't need to have so many towers to make a statement that a city is successful. I would say that Las Palmas is a marvelous example of, "hey, we might not need some tall skyscrapers to make a name for itself; rather, we build what we can, with the church being the prominent marker, and let the city grow naturally as it is!"

I find your city very spectacular, with the blue Atlantic waters making a picture-perfect contrast to the colorful, marvelous skyline (yes, I can see a lot of apartment buildings!) that defines Las Palmas as it is. For me, that city is a splendid place to visit, given its rich architectural combination (the traditional blending in with the modern), and I can see myself walking around the city center and the hills, taking pictures of that vibrant community of yours.

Just one other thing, as you can see in my signature, Las Palmas is just one of my 3 cities hehe
