No- this is a full fledged battle. The committee meeting was a skirmish inside the larger campaign against the hotel and that's nested inside the war against anyone who's ever made a profit.

Fair enough.

So now what hurdles remain before the larger project can be built? Only the City Council vote? Can it be vetoed or appealed if it doesn't make it?

Not sure what the appeal process is, but the council vote seems like a giant hurdle to me. Given their recent inclination towards stupidity I'm not betting money on approval.

I thin the vote will pass the council, 6-3 minimum, possibly 7-2 with Sawant and O'Brien as the 'no' votes.

All the emplyees contribute to the effort that nets a profit. Profit itself isn't the issue, distribution of the profit, and hospitality work environment may be at issue.
