Still in the 21st century muslim communities try to copy the classical Ottoman mosque but mostly they fail while doing so due to limited financial budget and lack of taste. Mosques are build by individuals or small communities and mostly they are they are lack of money and the taste in architecture and the outcome is mostly tacky ottoman failed copies.
