Read into this what you want, but to me you wouldn't increase the number of units if you weren't anticipating building.
.....this has delayed the parkade construction as they redesign the south portion to accommodate the stand alone tower.

I believe that for functionality it works better as a stand alone tower. There is only one tower involved in this development. The parkade will be cut back on the south end to accommodate the footprint of the tower. The parkade needs to be reconfigured to make up for the lost parking spaces.

So, According to Biff (SkyscraperPage Forum) the Glasshouse is gonna be built between 4Play and the new parkade starting at ground level. I think this is a horrible idea because the first 5/6 floors of the glasshouse are gonna have bad views from their large livingroom windows. New units, up to the 6th floor, will either be looking at the rear of 4Play building for south end units or the parkade for north side units. It made way more sense building it on top of the parkade so every unit would have unobstructed views IMO.

The LITZ crane is now gone from the Stantec/ALT site to make room for a tower crane.

Glasshouse is building a display suite for their building at City Place main level. Will be completed by May 11, 2013 for public viewing.

I have to check out the display suite at city place.It's very new for the winnipeg market, windows in this development have a very vancouver/toronto feel/look to them.
