Not until it gets a load of new sales. The jury is still out on whether the 777x will turn out to be a disaster, like the A380.

I personally do not see the need of a new thread for the 777X in any case, we have a single 737 thread for every 737model and generation, a single 747 thread for every 747 and a single A320 thread for every A320. The launch of the Neo didn't led to a separate A330 thread as well. It is fine as it is.

I don't think the 777X will be a bust.

Why? Because by the time production is in full swing, many airlines will need to start replacing their oldest 777-300ER's. And I wouldn't be surprised if a number of A380 operators will replace the A380 with the 777-9, especially since the 777-9 has better compatibility with current airport gate designs.

Boeing booked a new order for 2 777F in the last week of October by an Unidentified Customer.

The order for 10 777s from earlier in the month turns out to be 2 order, 1 for 2 77Ws and 1 for 8 77Ws. This last order was placed on the same date as an order for 30 737 MAXs, so this is China Southern. It's not know who ordered the other 2.

net orders so far this year: 777 net orders: 35 777 and 20 777X

Okay I was right. It was not an illusion. They really did get rid of the remote control/secondary screen and replaced it with what looks like a huge-ass tray table...

Sorry what? Business class still have the same old 2-3-2 configuration, so middle seat is still there.

But, on their 777-200LRs, they will get rid of first class and business will feature 2-2-2 config. Economy class seats will be then increased. In the end, the plan is to have 302 seats total. This is because 777-200LR is used on really long haul routes and I suppose they want to carry more pax.
