that shot is amazing. it's *exactly* east/west orientated so that the maximum amount of buildings are blocked out.

cool shot nonetheless :)
Well close to it - since Perth's roads don't run exactly west-east like a lot of people think. I reckon our CBD roads like St Georges Tce is about 15°-20° off that. So about WNW-ESE.

nice photo:cool:

i was kicking myself i didn't take my camera to work with me yesterday... the sunset on the way home was awesome
i know what you mean, i noticed the sky being lit up like that on the night, but i was stuck at work, if i wasn't it would of been cool to have ducked down to the zig zag and got a photo.

brilliant pic TRS!

The best view from the perth hills from the south east closer to armadale. Wouldnt have a clue how to get there though. Docker?
i can't be much of a help that far south, but a bit of a guess would suggest, somewhere along Mills Road East might be useful, especially once BHP has been built or atleast Topped out

who can see the skyline. one day i will actually pull over and get a skyline shot looking down this road instead of looking in the mirror and driving at 60km/h. i get to drive down, and stare at the skyline anytime i leave the hills.

theres also a spot in northbridge i'm interested in, incase someone else gets a sooner opportunity to check it out, it is the park across the road from the new Tyne Square (has coles) development above the farmer freeway... for a shot of the skyline

I'd love to see some shots from around Northbridge as well. Some great views of the CBD from there and surely a few new little stores and spaces have opened in the past 6 months along with many of the office developments about. It was certainly one of the most rapidly changing parts of Perth when I was there.

I used to park very close to that spot you're talking about out quite often.
