Sorry you are right about the salt, just checked the calendar, was more like 3 weeks void, oops.

What can I say, Exclusive turned out to be very efficient in finding a tenant in the end and Louise very helpful with DEWA/Ejari issues. ps. Furnished units tend not to rent well I notice due to tenants not always liking the choice of furnishings. Anyway, better not hijack this thread anymore, I smell a mod...

Torch has a good occupation rate , probably the highest ( with Marina Heights ) at the tallest block but I agree with you , the most vacant unit available in tallest block ( I am not talking about JBR now ) , so many bad units without any view ..

Some people dont care about the view but if the apartment dark because the next tower just few meters that can be a problem.

Many investors just realize now what they have bought online few years ago

I saw one unit in 23 Marina facing the Pentominium, its totally worthless now.

I saw one unit in 23 Marina facing the Pentominium, its totally worthless now.
Mostly all of the supertalls were marketed using pictures of them standing in splendid isolation and with yachts in the foreground. Add a building name like 23 Marina and many people get an idea it is next to water. Apartments in this tower were expensive. Apart from a good quality finish, what else does the building offer?

The Torch is good just now but it will end up like the rest once other towers are built around it and the views are taken away.

last time I asked the security at Emirates Crown he told me 95%. that one should go on the list as well. don't know about al seef tower, anybody lining there and have an idea? marina heights is diffucluit to get a 1-bed now - sometimes 100% occupancy in 1-beds.

mag218 very popular now. pinnacle difficult to rent, probably lowest occupancy rate unless you count Princess Tower with about 1 familiy moved in yet, a week after opening.

First time I've seen the feature lights turned on. Looks awful from a distance, like some sort of illuminated condom, which is fitting I guess for the ugliest building in the Marina.

not all light was on last night, there is a lot more but hey seem to have had trouble with it lately.

it's very easy to call skyscrapers phallic names, by the way, as most of them come in that shape by nature.

I live in a 2 bed in 23 marina, honestly other than its location it's quite bad, there is still unfinished work and inside the apartment almost everyday I find new problem and I know a lot of people are complaining about the same

WORST BUILDING EVER

Worst tower in the hemisphere. If this tower is a tribute to Dubai, Hircon & their owners should be imprisoned for lèse-majesté....

- I need security from the rude, unhelpful security

- Cheap contractors, lazy project manager, unskilled workers

- Cheap porcelain looking tiling that isn't even the correct type across the floor

- I've seen better tiling in an ADNOC petrol station bathroom

- They mixed up the tiles shading so now my floor looks like the product of a retarded 80's chess set that banged a retarded rubix cube)...uneven, chipped discolored, why is there a shadow of an oil spill on the floor

- The elevators actually sway as you ascend/descend, 'of course its normal'

- There appears...ahem, there's an F' ing gale force down wind through the elevator shaft, 'thats normal too'

- I'm considering turning my 'beautiful private duplex lift' into a cage for my new pet monkey named after the responsible project manager whom I will, on occasion, throw half empty Carlsberg bottles at & poke with a broomstick.

- Each window cleaning (which is twice a year) there's a leak in the apartment through the glass wall (that tower gets black after a week of cleaning)

- Having not accepted the property they tried to charge me Dhs 50k for the service fees (50 thousand dirhams for what? A few security guards and a sleeping lifeguard eating tikka masala by the pool?)

- I can hear my neighbors speak, the doors are made of cardboard.

- The air-conditioning actually makes the upstairs landing shake.

- The gyms are a joke, 8 pieces of machinery max in a 90 floor apartment, as is the 'VIP' gym for us duplex owners

- The tower is tilting, i repeat the tower is tilting.

- Give this tower a few more years then another one will be... sorry IS being constructed next door, kiss goodbye to your view residents

Jerry's final thought? I'd get more satisfaction watching money burn than give it to Hircon.

Please someone quote the Duke of Edinburgh...
