Waterfront District Infrastructure Landscape
Waterfront District Infrastructure Landscape
The New Waterfront District (Sectors A & D of the master plan) was the subject of a limited international competition, with the object of developing a landscape design concept for sidewalks, shared surface roads, associated spaces within the highway right of way, road islands and medians. The Competition, won by CBA will turn Beirut Waterfront's public realm into a major contribution to the environment of the city center. Landscape and streetscape strategies are based on a variety of public open spaces, with substantial access to the sea. Streetscapes will emphasize cafés and pedestrian areas, creating a vibrant sub-center of activity in the city as a whole. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Sounds very nice. Will the cycling line remain in the reclaimed area ??
A plan exists to create a cycling line in beirut, i have posted a video once here on the forum. I hope Solidere takes this issue on a serious note. |
