The lawyer Cotchett was on 95.7 earlier and he mentioned that he was on the losing side of the Raiders against the Rams and the NFL 30 years ago. Basically, MLB is still operating under their special old rules while other leagues have been busted up in that regard. If anyone knows precedent here, it's that guy.

Additionally, he applied California state law in citing the agreement between San Jose and the A's, which is being muddled by Major League Baseball.

Looks like we might see some sizable buildings on the Century Theaters site, I sure hope so!

I'm sympathetic to those who wanted the theaters saved (like in Concord), but I am stoked to see that area expand....and I never go there. This is a big valley, geographically, and we should be multinodal in our own right. Hopefully, the next step is for Valley Fair to build over the surface parking which fronts Stevens Creek.

And on the A's front, Steven Moskowitz was on Yahoo! Sports Talk saying that there is very real basis for SJ filing suit. He actually said he hopes the ruling goes in the city's favor. After that, Mark Purdy (whom I don't really like) cited the precdence of St Petersburg and Seattle both suing MLB on antitrust grounds, then being awarded expansion franchises.

Im worried about tearing down the one behind the Winchester Mystery House...building a 12-story tower there would destroy the image of the House: how can we be transported to the late 1800s with a massive modern tower lurking in the background?
