LONDON | Victoria Twin Towers | 2 x 128m | 42 fl | Pro

Two 128m tall towers form part of a controversial scheme near Buckingham Palace in London. The scheme has recently gone in for planning.

Renders of the scheme:

Drawings from the Application:

Whether these will be approved is anyone's guess, they have already been cut down in height from 136m and 164m (or there abouts).

(BTW sorry, I have just realised I did the verticle lines in the thread title wrong)

It's true that the buildings seem to be a bit too tall and that they are dominating the area, but it looks like a great development in terms of design and those office buildings that are there now are indeed very ugly.

design looks good. it's great place to build highrises and the old boxes were really unworthy standing in this great location.

Just happened to chance upon this thread. Didn't notice this scheme in the London Full Summary of Projects thread, how long has the idea for this scheme been around?

I love it.

Don't change a thing. The old london i've learned to love in the last three decades is rapidly vanishing. Especially around Victoria station, i like the 60's scheme.
Built in victoria, but please, let not all the architectural heritage from the various eras being destroyed. just don't.

I think the scheme looks great, and should improve the current area vastly. The area around Victoria station really needs some investment right now. I especially like the design of the building in the 3rd picture down. I hope this project gets approval.

This section is for 100-299m and they fit in.

Great designs. Simple but effective.

Unfortunately, this is why it doesn't stand a chance of getting built.
