The site gate was open today and i could hear machinery inside. Sounds like they're starting on the commercial element by the Quays.

The very very least he could do is ensure the new residential element at Spencer Dock matches the height of the existing Spencer Dock apartments, which go as high as 12 floors i believe. There is no possible logical reason to build lower here than what already exists, in the middle of a housing supply crisis.

I think Eoghan Murphy said that in the context of residential developments, but my understanding was ALL height limits to be removed...

Could be wrong

How do you suppose that? based on the the approval, there was little to no changes from the original proposal.

I'm looking forward to this one being completed, I think it will be a great addition to the north docklands. One of the few I wouldn't want to see paused to allow them to apply for a taller building in its place.

They wonít pause it, itís commercial. Itíll be built as is. Itís the Apartments behind that have stalled. It was actually a really nice scheme so several additional floors on the same design would be good but Iíd imagine weíll see a 15 story redesign if these new plans from FG go through.

Colony NorthStar to invest $1 billion to develop 4 office buildings at Spencer Place.

Thought only 2 office buildings have planning permission so they must be talking about future office buildings on the Northern part of the site.

Annoyingly, they speak about developing the residential aspect "in the second phase". For God's sake the Docklands needs new apartments now, not in 5 years.

Its highly sought after space in the docklands area for big tech firms..why would you spend a penny on residences if you're a property developers when you have these guys just waiting to spend millions on any office you build there?

A particular part of the site is already allocated to residential, so it's just a case of when they actually build the apartments. Either now or in 5 years. I don't know why they don't build now - makes the office element more attractive if there's a cohort of apartments nearby to go with it. Of course if they could re-design the residential element to increase the density that would be great.

No Exo is an entirely separate site which will hoefully get the axe before it is ever actually built.

$1.2bn for 4 office blocks seems a lot. I expect the highest quality materials.
