The Woolwich based street gang/organisation is still active, but the Woolwich area is safer than it once was. I'd have no qualms about walking through there at night, but then again I am the guy that has provided DSLR photo updates from the Aylesbury, Ferrier and North Peckham estates.

I've lived in Woolwich on n off for about 5 years now, never had trouble day or night, where I live or late in the centre. Most of the gang trouble ended in the early to mid-noughties. Alot of the new African migrants that have come since then are from middle class backgrounds and have changed the crime drastically.
