Hi Guys,

This is a small endeavour to encourage and maintain the spirit of the spots loving people of Trivandrum. Trivandrum is becoming one of the hot destinations of sports events in the country. With lots of national events happening in this city we have witnessed some international stars performance also in the past. The sports and games are always discussed in the mainstream media. Little discussions are happening about the sports in the general thread. The National games is in front of the door steps , we are talking about a city centered IPL team and this is the time we are raising our voice for an international cricket stadium, even the small attempts are important.

Kovalam FC sets its sights higher

But despite the success the club has made on football field, the club is struggling to stay afloat.

Scarcity of funds, playing ground and lack of sponsors were some of the issues which the club had to grapple in the recent times. The club underwent a change in team management wherein new set of office bearers took over to run the club. Football enthusiast T.J. Mathew, who sponsors education of some of the players through a charity trust which runs, took over as chairman of the club.

The club officials approached Sashi Tharoor MP for help and he sanctioned Rs. 15 lakh from his MP’s fund for developing a proper playground for the club. The MP also took initiative to identify playing area for the club.

“Without having our own ground it is impossible to continue with our coaching programme.

We have identified land near Vizhinjam and sought help from Sashi Tharoor MP who has taken the initiative to hold talks with the private firm which owns the land. We are hopeful of getting a proper ground soon,” said former State player Ebin Rose whose tireless enthusiasm has been behind the success of the club.

Normally it can be even availed through bookmyshow and online sales..its tough for the ppl to go to bank and buy tickets n office time....:bash::bash::bash:..

Atleast federal bank should open counters in major institutions and places such as technopark, musuem ,east fort ,kerala university etc so that the reach can be widened....:eek:hno::eek:hno:

Only one month to go and the level of publicity is very less....

If they are very confident of achieving targeted revenue through sale of tickets, this strategy of selling tickets through only one distribution partner is OK. However it is risky.
In a maiden attempt like this, to my mind, it is better to have a strong distribution network having 2/3 powerful partners.

20-20 match ticket sale agreement signed KCA with federal bank yesterday. Only keralakaumudi published the news in their sports page with its importancet. As usual nonorama didnt report even in local metro page. Só their intension is very much clear.Funny thing is they reported in local metro page the color change of CCL kerala teams dress in coming match.which doesnt have any relation to our city

Is it that the black market team has booked it in bulk? I was trying from morning yesterday, but the site was not loading. And in the evening, the message showing no tickets available.
I really hope fedaralbank focus on banking and give these overheads to experts like bookmyshow, rather than spoiling the party.
