the holes are for aesthetics

imo the gateways seen in all these peojects create an isolated area, and most (except for this) use horrible designs, its like a gateway to disney world lol, childish and unnecessary, these should be part of the city,

green space is needed aswell

this is a urban renewal housing project from istanbul, its not mass
but this is a good example of what i personally would like to see in the mass housing projects, also in the housing projects of slums

its a piece of art, and really, the same price maybe even cheaper than the stuffy we see already

Nice!

I like that Ahmadinejad participates in social projects, here in Sweden you never see a government official participating in these.

The only thing that gets me is the chadori woman and the little girl dressed in a veil and a manto.

I think large windows are more affordable for countries with mild or moderate climate, not to the hot one...

most mediterreanian countries with similar climates and even hotter countries like uae an qatar use large windows

windows are important aswell in irans traditional architecture

its nicer, better, more light etc
the smaller the window, usually the uglier and depressing the building gets

small windows would be fine only if the house was surrounded by them, what we see is only 1 or sides which seems to choke some sunlight. It doesnt seem good for the environment/energy consumption either as people will need to turn lights on in certain rooms during daylight hours.

golbahar town in khorasan

these are better in my opinion, some descent windows, better landscaping, the houses have some balconies, though bigger ones are better, no rectangular crap sticking out of the front facade towards the roof, also, some have windows and a full complete facade on the edge of the buildings towards the street, thats good, they never put those in these mass projects and it looks so bad and incomplete, this one isnt like that

they need to do underground wiring, and get rid of these poles, they make even the most beautiful areas look ugly

the cables

whats the asphalt for? please dont tell be they are going to install a childish park with random coloured plastic slides etc
