How has this managed to get off the ground before 52 Lime St?

That seems to have taken an absolute age in terms of site prep, and they're still working on the core slipform.

Good news, regardless.

The basement for 100 Bishopsgate is going to be completed whilst the tower rises. This is quite unusual for skyscraper construction, where the basement is completed up to the ground level slab before the core rises. Look back through the 1 Blackfriars picture updates for a good recent comparison.

100 Bishopsgate is actually going upwards? Did we ever think we'd see the day?!

For recollection on the construction methods involved - assuming this still stands. They would be at the start of the core stage

Good video, but the video appears to have made this building look shorter than it actually will be, as compared to the Gherkin and T42.

Hey all, I've been on this forum for ages and love seeing the updates. Anyway, I work in the City now and would like to contribute with updates...I took some photos of the site this evening, including a delivery of a large steel girder, but i can't remember how to embed pictures from Flickr. If someone could send me a PM to tell me how that would be great. In the mean time:

you go to the curly right-pointing 'share' arrow, and then select 'bbcode' from the top row
