It's been rumoured ever since the factory was demolished. Nothing seems to be happening with it.

It's being remediated by Arcadis (or something like that). The TRW/Lucas site was there for nearly a century.

I work for a metal testing, certification and inspection company and our labs test metals etc using all manner of nasties to make sure they're fit for purpose. Lucas would have done this on site. The acids and gases leach into the ground.

This is why water is pumped into the ground to dilute it to safe levels.

I wasn`t expecting that.

Was recommended for approval last week.

And has been approved. No-one from Sutton Coldfield Town Council turned up to speak against, despite them being opposed to the application.

Didn't know it looked like this in the other side, thanks Elliot, very similar to Bentley House in town, really like it!

Same company doing Holloway Head, let's hope it's the same quality.

No problem Reiss! It's the first thing you see when you leave the station building.

I also got this view from the station on the way back to New Street, although it was more for the tracks and the tunnel and not The Sutton!

For what it's worth it's still FSK bit with a different offering.

Still not hopeful of its future.

I agree, they got to do a lot of work to get people in. Offers or groupon or something. I think failure is on the cards already.

To reply to my own thread :-)

FSk / Procesco Bar / Steak House is still open.
Seems to be closed Mondays.
Most nights very quiet
Friday night was quite busy when I went passed.

Gusto has now open in Mulberry Walk, anyone been?

Yeah same re the service but then it has only been open less then a week. Prob prefer the one at The Grand just for the building sake but a good addition to Mere Green anyway
