It should be decided on the merits and should have passed, but it didn't. It is more complicated than a few old ladies who think they cannot cross the street. Some of it is NIMBYs and some of it is personal.
Kevin, don't say we didn't warn you about local politics.

oh I have seen people literally starve because one politician didn't want the other one to get credit for something they agree on. This is way more sane than national/state politics ![]() Plus it's not that complicated -- but you're right it's not about old ladies crossing a street, its about 1980s urban vision vs 2000s (not even saying we're up to this decade yet). It's about jobs versus VIP parking. And yes I am sure it includes some personal stuff, but focusing on that no matter who you blame will only make the process worse
