I'm in the States at the moment & am seeing Cisco TV ads using the phrases 'Internet of Everything' & 'Tomorrow starts here'.

MIPIM?

2 weeks away.

Why not showcase it at the most important property expo in the world?

But why announce anything last August then, jrb?

More worrying is that it seems the source for this rumour is the MEN.

Well it was rather more than a leak I think.

Whether anything ever comes of this remains to be seen but it sure is something of a tease!!

Gahhh... dammit, I missed my moment. I had always planned to bump this thread on Monday with a big fat 'April Fools'
Ah well I've made a note to self to do that next year.

Never forget the saying....."tomorrow never comes".

Maybe this one will but perhaps it will be the day after tomorrow?

Whenever that is?

A while since we've heard anything regarding this...but looks like things are still happening in the background.

Manchester mystery grows

26 April 2013

A global technology brand that has been leasing single office floors in Manchester over the past 12 months, without revealing its identity, has agreed terms on a further 10 locations across the city centre.

The “Tomorrow” project, previously codenamed “Project Digital”, has expanded its Manchester office portfolio to 30 locations throughout the city and its suburbs to more than 200,000 sq ft.

Among the new locations are United Utilities Property Services’ Linley House on Dickinson Street, Castlefield’s Merchants Warehouse on Castle Street, Manchester City Council’s Sharp Project in Old Trafford, Bruntwood’s Station House in Altrincham and BAM’s St Peter’s Square scheme in Stockport.

The Tomorrow project is led by Atul Bansal, co-founder of interior design firm Sheila Bird Group, and Andrew Timms, director of Edwards & Co.

Tomorrow has been described as a “highly confidential” brief on behalf of an unnamed, consortium of global companies.

An announcement in August said each site would host “ground-breaking” technology that will enable local firms to explore and access business solutions, knowledge and data in an “intuitive and interactive format” that is completely “innovative and unprecedented”.

Technological hiccups are thought to have held up a formal announcement of the concept so far.

Good to know all this is still going ahead then.

A guy and his family have moved into the house next door to us from California. Said he's moved here with work; and he works for Cisco
