Since I'm abroad atm, my only TV link to home is BBC World, have just seen for the first time a major ad from CISCO - ultra hype about what they're planning to do, changing the way we live BS, you know, the usual guff.

I didn't pay much attention until I saw the closing frame of the ad, it said:

'Tomorrow starts here'

.....Project Tomorrow. Co-incidence? I could be jumping to conclusions particularly after making a punt at them earlier on......

I'm in the States at the moment & am seeing Cisco TV ads using the phrases 'Internet of Everything' & 'Tomorrow starts here'.

Well it was rather more than a leak I think.

Whether anything ever comes of this remains to be seen but it sure is something of a tease!!

A global technology brand that has been leasing single office floors in Manchester over the past 12 months, without revealing its identity, has agreed terms on a further 10 locations across the city centre.

The “Tomorrow” project, previously codenamed “Project Digital”, has expanded its Manchester office portfolio to 30 locations throughout the city and its suburbs to more than 200,000 sq ft.

Among the new locations are United Utilities Property Services’ Linley House on Dickinson Street, Castlefield’s Merchants Warehouse on Castle Street, Manchester City Council’s Sharp Project in Old Trafford, Bruntwood’s Station House in Altrincham and BAM’s St Peter’s Square scheme in Stockport.

The Tomorrow project is led by Atul Bansal, co-founder of interior design firm Sheila Bird Group, and Andrew Timms, director of Edwards & Co.

Tomorrow has been described as a “highly confidential” brief on behalf of an unnamed, consortium of global companies.

An announcement in August said each site would host “ground-breaking” technology that will enable local firms to explore and access business solutions, knowledge and data in an “intuitive and interactive format” that is completely “innovative and unprecedented”.

Technological hiccups are thought to have held up a formal announcement of the concept so far.
