Its just a regular all glass skyscraper to me.... its not even tall enough to be called iconic.
A agree completely. Am not a fan. And tis so close to the Antel building beside it!

Yes, it's a matter of personal preference and taste. Personally I think this is a great addition to Ortigas Center. Union Bank Plaza is till tops for me in that area but that could change once this is completely finished and with the mast installed. I'm glad OCC is there. Those two buildings complement each other very well.

I agree with rmn though that it's too close to Antel. I never liked the zoning and the narrow roads done with this cbd but it has a lot of nicely done structures.

At least we have a lot of good looking buildings in the area to choose from.

it would be unfair to compare this building to union bank.
why? firstly, occ isn't finished yet.
secondly, and probably more importantly, many will likely agree that union bank is a very, very tough act to follow.

if we were to pluck UB from ortigas center and have it relocated anywhere in upscale tokyo or new york, it will most certainly maintain its lion's share of admirers.

rcbc makati is another philippine edifice which could easily prove its mettle if placed among new york's skyscraping icons.

Wow! Thanks for the update, Shazzam! Its looking pretty good. Just three more floors to go to cover up the front side!

Curious though...why are there so many air conditioning vents on the upper glassy parts of the building? If I recall correctly, the units on those floors are much more bigger in size (I think either four per floor, or two per floor and the upper ones one per floor) than the ones on the lower floors. Or are they something else other than air conditioning vents?

ngayon ko lang na realize, pero sana mas matangkad pa ito. If only they extended the roof height to its planned antenna height, mas maganda sana tingnan...but anyway, still a very striking building in Ortigas Center....

you mean opening? it's been topped off since over a year ago.

i love the vastness of the grand lobby. this will probably beat all of my fave grand lobbies in makati - RCBC, Enterprise...LKG.
