hmm Qwert prestne vystihol...

Islamophobia—the new anti-Semitism

The German Interior (police) Minister complained,
"Part of the Islamic world has yet to implement the Enlightenment." though he admitted that "Christianity waged terrible conflicts for a few centuries until the process of Enlightenment took root....” (Islam urged to accept Enlightenment—EU official backs training for imams, Paul Taylor, Reuters, Boston Globe, January 12). Behold the history of the modern West—a shining example for the benighted Orient!

I don`t have mod powers in CE forum but it is amazing how I understood everything you wrote. Slovakian seems to be much more similar to Serbian than what I thought

Ehm no čo už.

Srbčina a slovenčina sú slovanské jazyky, takže by nemalo byť veľa problémov s porozumením (okrem cyriliky - nepoznám veľa Slovákov, ktorí jej rozumejú).

I'm delighted we almost perfectly understand each other. Serbian and Slovak are both Slavic languages so there shouldn't be much problems with undestanding (except cyrillic - I don't know much Slovaks who understand to it).

A, samozrejme - of course - welcome to the forum

Me too. It's funny though that I understand Czech and Polish to much lesser extent.

I don't know why you can understand to Slovak more than to Czech or Polish. Maybe it's because Slovakia is closer to Serbia

I guess we share more words. And there are 60.000 Slovaks in Serbia and they make a majority in Kovačica and Bački Petrovac. Some Slovaks here said that Slovakian used in Serbia sounds archaic.
They have some websites so you can see it yourself http://bp.slovopravdy.com/ http://www.backipetrovac.org.yu/index-sk.html http://www.hlasludu.com/

I really appreciate your promotion of international understanding, but this is a topic of Jegeho alej /avenue of JG/, 20stories Bratislava appartment complex in final approval. If you could kindly stay on the topic, thank you. There are other possibillities to take part in the specific issue you are interested in, possibly creating new threads about language discussions. Here is one of interesting discussions.

Didn`t Qwer question this thread? In the sense this project should be posted in the Bratislava projects and constuctions updates instead of having a separate thread?

Actually, this thread is about many things: language relations between Serbia and Slovakia, rules for posting at this forum and of course about Jégeho alej. However in all this thread is only one picture of it and no more information. Literally, you cannot even say this thread is about Jégeho alej. So what is its purpose? Discuss. All this forum is about discussion. I think the picture should be reposted on "[Bratislava] development and constructions updates" or someone should post here more info about JA. If this thread doesn't have any purpose why shouldn't we discuss here what we want? I have one idea: we could have one thread for discussing what we want like in Skybar and it could be right this thread. It would have finaly some purpose. BTW I don't think JA deserves its own thread. It's not very important project - only residential building with 20 floors. Nothing special even on Bratislava circumstances.
