HYLLIE | Hyllie Hotell | 65m? | 16fl

Hyllie Hotel

Name: Hyllie Hotel
Use: Hotel
No. of Rooms: 600 (total) / 395 (phase 1) / 140 (phase 2) / 65 (phase 3)
Height: 60m
No. of floors: 15~17fl
Total Floor Area: 35.000 m2
Developer: Öyer Invest A/S | PASAB Fastighetsutveckling AB
Architect: Gert Wingårdh, Wingårdhs Arkitektkontor AB
Planned Construction start: 2010
Finished: 2012

Quote:

Fourth, revised, design:

'Old' design:

There is some footage of the hotel in this video presentation of the Hyllie area.

Now that's really something different than what we are used to see here in the Nordics. Looks really cool!

Really great! Much better than that "chimney" he proposed for Stockholm. Let's hope it gets built!

Thumbs up for that design! Much better than the first highrise-design.

I love that influence that exists in the ideas of Hyllie, with o lot of strictness in the masterplans, but with a few exceptions with organic touch here and there. Like this one and the entrance of "Hyllie galleria"

Mor of that please!

This is as much a sculpture as it is a building. And for once it works! I love this design.
How well it'll work as a part of the city... that depends on the surrounding blocks: density around it would make this building be great.

I wish that Wingårdh could make his highrise in Linköping as beautifil as this one. The one i Linköping looks really crapy on the renderings...

Very cool!

I wish other parts of the country got some cool buildings too...Malmö has been getting several. Though considering how downright ugly many parts of Malmö is, I suppose they deserve it.

I wonder if it will be the final design,i t will be very expensive to build. But I hope so, since it looks much more exciting than the previous design. If they choose this design I am pretty sure this building will be very famous!

And that's what we need. I hope politicians and anyone else involved realizes this.
