Here it is sorry. Just realized you needed image hosting and all that crap. My Proposed lines/ branches are meant to serve gaps of service and major retail/entertainment corridors and destinations. You'll probably notice that evanston has been recoloured white and annexed by the City and That the city's outskirts no longer belong to it this all part of BIG PLAN FOR CHICAGO with many juicy details i hope to share someday! but anyways enjoy!

Third Coast,

of course that would be wonderful. the obvious problem is: $$$$$$$$$

and, as much as a fortune as it would cost for an elevated track system (which, of course, would never occur due to oppositon of those living around it), it would be even more expensive as a subway.

the other issue I'd see with something this extensive: if money were going to be put into rapid transit, wouldn't a good percentage of those lines be better going further out into the suburbs (especially in places like Evanston and Skokie where service currently exists).

Suburbia is well served by commuter rail through Metra; suburb-to-downtown connections are excellent. rapid transit, on the other hand, is extremely weak. intrasuburban connections are weak in Metra.

If anything, I'd love to see CTA use the model of the best city/suburban rapid transit system in the country: DC's Metro. Nothing compares. Only Metro combines NYC's city wide type of connections with BART's metro blanketing of the system.
