It depends on the number of post on which the city or town is talking about. Case in point: Cebu City and Cebu Province is on the same thread despite Cebu City, Mandaue City, and Lapu-Lapu City are highly urbanized cities.

But then, libre ang pangandoy.

well in respect of jinkee, he/she is right. may mall na itinayo ngayon sa digos which is the gaisano grand. one of my friends told me that there was a mall somewhere near the road going to kidaps but im not sure, but what's sure is that there was really a gaisano grand digos under construction. its a matter of evidence (photos, articles in the news) needed for other forumers to believe, i hope jinkee you will get a photo for the mall.

DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur, (PIA) –- The division of Davao del Sur into two provinces and the creation of a new province to be named Davao Occidental will “very, very soon be realized,” said Governor Douglas Ra Cagas.
Cagas told the Philippine Information Agency that a plebiscite where the province’s constituents would participate to decide on the matter is expected to be conducted towards end of this year.
The governor divulged that the creation of Davao Occidental Province would take effect by 2013.
Davao del Sur House representatives Marc Douglas IV C. Cagas and Franklin P. Bautista jointly sponsored House Bill No. 3644 seeking for the division of the province into two and for the creation of Davao Occidental Province.
In the House Bill explanatory note, Cagas and Bautista elaborated that the creation of the new province “primarily intended to hasten the economic and social progress of the municipalities comprising the proposed province.”

Davao Occidental shall comprise the Municipalities of Malita, Sta. Maria, Don Marcelino, Jose Abad Santos and Sarangani. The proposed capital town is Malita.

Davao del Sur shall embrace the towns of Malalag, Sulop, Kiblawan, Padada, Hagonoy, Matanao, Bansalan, Magsaysay, Sta. Cruz and Digos as the Capital City.

The House Bill explained that the “slow pace development” in the areas to compose the proposed province has pushed for the “decentralization and establishment of a wider range of better possibilities and access to governmental programs and services that directly cater to the inhabitants of these municipalities.”
Another purpose raised is for the “respective seats of government to be nearer, accessible, and more responsive to the needs of their respective constituents.”
The Congressmen further elaborated that the creation of Davao Occidental province would also “accelerate political, social and economic development due to closer supervision by the new provincial officials and imbibe the spirit of self sufficiency and self-reliance.”
They added that the move would “revive the pride of our people who have long dream of autonomy.”
Cagas is currently covering the 1st District, while Bautista handles 2nd District.
Earlier, Davao del Sur provincial information office has reported in its press release that the Bill was on its 3rd reading in the 15th Congress as of last month

DAVAO CITY, March 27 (PIA) —- In a bid to strengthen industry collaboration, the local government unit and the Department of Trade and Industry in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur are set to hold a consultation dialogue in April with major industry firms in said town.
LGU Sta Cruz and DTI regard industry collaboration as “very crucial to industry survival,” while believing competition to be more intense and the stakes for winning to be greater.
Dubbed as CEO Dialogue, the three-hour consultation would involve 18 major investors and product lines, and eight big landholdings in Sta. Cruz.
One of the leading industries, the San Miguel Corporation will be hosting the dialogue at its SMC Brewery Plant at Barangay Darong.

The Bureau of Investments in Davao will moderate the “free-wheeling discussions and presentations of various concerns affecting businesses and commitments towards community development.”
DTI Secretary Gregory L. Domingo is expected to grace the dialogue where corporate executive officers will have an opportunity to raise issues and concerns and other policy reforms for the Secretary’s consideration.
DTI said the dialogue aims to “achieve industrial peace and harmony within and among investors and the community,” noting the need for a “harmonious relationship between the firms and the community where they are located.”
The identification of issues and concerns and the generation of information during the dialogue would help and guide the LGU Sta. Cruz in formulating its interventions and development direction, DTI said.
It added that “government should have first hand information on the various industry constraints in order to appropriately provide the needed interventions to ensure entry, expansion and retention of investments.”
The dialogue also intends to “promote corporate social responsibility to investors for the social, environmental, and economic development of the locality.”
With this aim, the business firms are expected to signify their commitment to support LGU programs and projects focusing on micro, small and medium enterprise development through the Corporate Social Responsibility program.
DTI said the identified issues and concerns are expected to be addressed with immediate interventions, while the projected enhanced collaboration among firms would particularly deliver raw material exchange and manpower development.
Another part of the expected outcomes is to identify investment leads and joint ventures and to list requirements for the domestic raw material supply.
DTI stated that the issues that could not be addressed in the dialogue “will be referred to concerned agencies or forwarded to Regional Development Council for appropriate action.” (PIA-11/Carina L. Cayon)
