Definitely one of the coolest museums in the country!

Also, hard to believe this shot is taken in Manhattan!

Hoving brought some great art to New York. Rembrandt's Aristotle and Velasquez's Juan de Pareja are another two masterpieces and Hoving babies. The Met is a better art museum thanks to him, in spite of the board's distaste with his ostentatious showmanship.

Just one historic detail about it - if you look very closely at it - it contains quite a few anti semitic elements in its carvings. Though honestly that didn't make me like it any less. It is indeed a great peace of art!

just curious the websire says tripods only tues,wed, thurs but i hear on the weekends before noon its okay to,.. anyone know?
