Even I don´t have any relation to religion, I like to see the Alminhas especially if they are integrated into the Muros de pedra. It makes them a unique part of local culture ...

Small pormenores of local identity which shouldn´t be overlooked ...

there are Alminhas practically around the country. They mean the things described above AND also the people who died in certain places, sometimes people build alminhas where a dear one was killed, for example, in an accident. Beautiful ones in stone above
