As you might have noticed our dns server has gone tits up
The site has been online all the time but nobody was able to get access through typing in the usual address. I managed to get on last night through the back door.

My memory has gone to hell, but.. I read in the YEP planning permission section on Thursday that an outline application for a (25 storeys or more, I think) was approved by the council... I cant for the life of me remember what the name was..

anybody know anything about it?

Checked on the council planning website - it's just the outline application for Monkbridge on Whitehall Road.

I've been observing on the webcam that very gradually the type of surfacing on Millennium Square has been changing. But I havent seen any work there, or any news, or any need for it to be changed. Its just weird- to start with there was a small patch of lighter coloured stone surfacing at the Civic Hall- now half the square is covered in it and some of the bottom part. Can somebody please tell me what is going on here!?

I think It's being cleaned. I don't think sunlight would cause it to look so different in two places.

Looks to me like they've been pressure cleaning it (webcam). Not a bad idea actually. I'll check next time I'm down there.

Seems likely, they did the same in Victoria Square recently.
I think John Thorp messed up with the surfacing in M Square, granite is a much better bet imo.

No type of lighting causes that amount of accuracy! It follows the pattern of the bricks!

Jebus has returned!

Just a few pics of the apartments on New York Street, by the look of things they should be completed in the next couple of months. Quite liking the look of Iceworks
