Picture are from the existing hotel in Dubai-Jumeirah beach....Real..

And you are right, it is like Novotel and Al Sawani resturant ,, phh and our Exhibition center, which all employ same design found in different gulf countries featuring the wind Tower.

The Idea to reuse old fashioned designes started here in Novotel, before Dubai's Qasr hotel.

I've stayed in this hotel while i was n dubai for a week, and believe me its nothing like novotil, its amazing. I didnt leave the hotel's premisis for my whole stay. I cant really discribe it bas hotel 3ajeeb o mafee mithla 9argoony. Tara its massive unlike the novotel which frankly doesnt look so good, al qasr on the other hand is great.

Belive me, this is good news.

I like these resorts at least they try to maintain a little inspiration from
islamic and oriental motifs and they fit in and create drama and excitement,
arent these like 1000 percent nicer than bland 50 storey towers over and over again?

Yes much better than Towers.

This architecture is Persian, and is found in Gulf region specially in Bahrain and the UAE.

#PROJECT: SALAM BEACH RESORT & SPA

International Properties has announced a Dh2 billion Salam Beach Resort and Spa project in Manama.

"The announcement of the project in Bahrain following soon after vast developments in Qatar, Oman, Morocco and Turkey makes Dubai International Properties one of the fastest growing major real estate developers in the region," said Mohammad Al Gergawi, Executive Chairman of Dubai Holding, the parent firm of Dubai International Properties.

"Over the past three months, the newly-created Dubai International Properties has announced four new projects worth a combined Dh13.5 billion. This kind of growth is hard to match by any standards," he said.

"Dubai International Properties is gaining momentum and now is poised to breach new markets around the world," Al Gergawi said.

Salam Beach Resort and Spa Bahrain will be the second Dubai International Properties project with such a name. The first project in Oman is known as Salam Yiti Lifestyle Resort & Spa at an estimated cost of over Dh3 Billion. This is in line with Dubai International Properties strategy to build a 'Salam Resort & Spa' global brand name.

Farhan Faraidooni, chief executive officer of Dubai International Properties, said: "Like all our projects in various parts of the Gulf, the Bahrain development will stand out with its own unique identity, based not only on the architecture or the look of the project, but also because of its unique interior decor and the extraordinary services and facilities that it will offer to the end visitors."

"We will create a resort development that will define a new level of luxury in Bahrain," promised the Dubai International Properties CEO. "The resort will have a vast area along the beachfront stretching deep inland. We will build a network of canals spanning five kilometres to run throughout the site in order to maximise waterfront scenery," he added.

Built on a long stretch of sandy white beach, the Salam Beach Resort & Spa Bahrain site promises to provide the ultimate in privacy, luxury, entertainment and leisure. The upscale luxury resort and spa project is aimed at attracting GCC and European tourists.

Faraidooni said that Salam Beach Resort & Spa Bahrain will be located on Bahrain's south-west side.

It will sprawl over a site that is approximately 500,000 square metres in size and will include a 5-star deluxe hotel, traditional souq, hotel villas and spa, marina and wellness centre.

The project is to be completed in March 2009.

I think AL-Ayam Newspaper has a photo for this project

Great, I expected them to build a tower but I suppose this is better hehe. This should be right on the opposite side of Durrat Al Bahrain.

Yeah officials from Dubai International Properties met with the King yesterday to launch the project. There is a very impressive advertisement campaign for this project. They had four pages in today’s GDN.
