There has been good growth in the traffic witnessed by Islamabad & Lahore. Silakot, Multan & Peshawar have shown good growth too. Karachi has barely seen an increase in traffic over 9 years, in some years in between it has actually gone below the 2006-07 figure. While Faisalabad & Gwadar have experienced declines, Faisalabad probably due to its proximity to Lahore and Gwadar should pick up soon due to CPEC.

Multan should rise to around 1.5m in a short time due to it being the one major airport in south Punjab and north Sindh.

And yes,air traffic to Gilgit Baltistan etc will keep on going up due to the tourist boom in these areas, but someone should also consider feeder helicopter service between Hunza and Gilgit etc?...and many such routes ?I am not an aviation expert but I think there is a huge potential for such small feeder services. Yes ,road transport and conditions throughout the country are improving at a phenomenal rate, but considering the distances and the time factor,as well as rising incomes, there is a large untapped potential for air travel between smaller centres which the private sector should look into.☺
None of thsese are profitable thats why nobody is interested in them, not even Kashmir routes Muaffarabad, Rawalakot and Mirpur, with large community in UK needing the links.
