Rabat: Le pont Moulay El Hassan prend forme

A l’instar des autres chantiers du projet du Bouregreg, les travaux de la construction du nouvelle pont Moulay El Hassan avancent selon le calendrier initialement arrêté.
La réalisation des fondations est en cours d’achèvement. «Le taux d’avancement est de 87% avec 527 pieux réalisés sur les 600 prévus», souligne Nada El Kasmi, directeur du projet à l’Agence pour l’aménagement de la vallée de Bouregreg (AAVB). Et d’ajouter que 67 semelles sont réalisées sur un total de 87 unités, soit un avancement de 67%.
Pour les pieux, on doit retenir qu’il s’agit d’ouvrages de 1,2 m de diamètre avec une profondeur moyenne de 30 mètres. «Ces travaux représentent 15.807 m linéaires de forage et plus de 31.000 m3 de béton et aussi 4.186 tonnes d’acier», précise la direction de l’AAVB.
Dans peu de temps, les ouvriers entameront les travaux de réalisation des superstructures. De gros moyens technologiques ont été déployés. A signaler que l’ensemble des études préalables aux travaux des superstructures sont actuellement finalisées, selon la direction du chantier.
La particularité de ce grand ouvrage est que les éléments composant ses superstructures seront préfabriqués sur le site. Selon Nada El Kasmi, tous les travaux préparatoires au démarrage de la fabrication sont achevés. Deux aires de préfabrication sont opérationnelles dotées de tous les engins de levage nécessaires ainsi que de tous les coffrages des éléments préfabriqués.
Ce travail concerne les cinq éléments constituant le pont qui s’étend sur une longueur de 1,2 km de Rabat à Salé. Il s’agit du pont de la base nautique, la culée creuse de Rabat, le pont Moulay El Hassan, la rampe d’accès du tramway (côté Salé) et le viaduc de Salé. Les travaux de préfabrication des éléments de ce dernier ont démarré début juin à vitesse grand V. L’objectif était de poser rapidement les composantes du viaduc sur une longueur de 546 m avant août.
Pour ce qui est du pont à proprement dit, le tablier est entièrement préfabriqué, les travaux de réalisation des piliers seront entamés à partir d’octobre. Mois durant lequel devrait être lancé le chantier de la partie du pont base nautique. Les engins tourneront à plein régime pour terminer les travaux dans les délais. En effet, la mise en circulation du tramway est prévue avant fin 2010.

la goulette is 260m long.
i read an article saying that el hassan bridge will be the longest bridge of morocco & africa.

i don't know what so special about it. morocco has some african records: largest mosque (and at the same time the highest religious building on earth), largest studio, largest port, largest stadium (soon), ...
