What I tried to say with the veggie stall is that having something in your city that is not in other cities doesnt make it better. What makes Shanghai stand over Auckland in my "favourite city" list is not the miu miu shops. I wouldn't care if there were miu miu shops in Auckland and not in Shanghai.

Let's say, having luxury shops doesnt impress me, and probably most people here. Skyscrapers, on the other hand...

Many brands dont make an appearance in NZ, in Auckland, only a few like LV and Gucci has a boutique store, most have counters in duty free shops.

Others like Chanel or Hermes you gotta buy from overseas.

I disagree.

Firstly, there are so many different types of fashion. If you after a high class designer style, you cannot achieve this by wearing brands like H&M. On the other hand, if you are after some street fashion, you would probably have to go for brands like Bape and Nikes.





Secondly, designer brands are designed on a specific body type, not on race. You will look good in designer brands if you have a good body (tall, slim) regardless of your race.

Actually now when seeing Asians everyday white people are like elephants compared, even the persons on the pictures you just posted (albeit close to slim). It's not about just about slim body but also the bone structure which whites have a more heavier one.

Yes there are slim (to asian standards) white people but they really are a minority, I mean REALLY.

Its all about the lifestyle, and the unhealthy diet. American junk food, and waaay too much wheat and sugars.

Besides, dongbei girls are considered chubbier in china for one reason: their diets include wheat!

In okinawa they have a saying that you sohuld only eat untill you are 90% full. When I see meals in asia, the portions are also much smaller than in europe, and especially in usa. But it doesn't have that much to do with genes.

Pretty crazy, but the main difference between caucasians and asians are the eyes. Rest is cultural.

In west africa they send their young daughters to fattening school. But not all african women are fat. In somalia you can find natural girls that look anorectic. And it is not the lack of food as western media describes it.

edit: wheat also makes you taller, while rice makes you shorter. Also in europe if you go to the mediterranean, people are in average shorter than northern europeans like the dutch and swedes. Same thing with southern and northern chinese. In africa people are more muscular and chubby because they have almost exclusively eaten meat and fish. Just recently they started actually cultivating the land there. Besides, it takes a few generations to change things like that. From experiments with mice, they found out that changing genes through adopting new culture takes 5-6 generations. So there might actually be something of value in the old chinese saying that everyone who enters china becomes chinese. I can't recall the name of the philosopher who said that. Alot of chinese are also very slim because chinese girls never work out, so they barely grow any muscles.

You mean white americans? Most europeans I know don't like fat asses and big booties. We hate it as much as you do. There is a racial difference between the races in both face and the body. Caucasians (europeans and middle easterners) have longer limbs and are more fit to dry warm climate wereas mongoloid (east and south east Asians) are originate from the Asian part of Russia, hence the eyes that protect from the sun reflecting from the snow. The colder the climate the shorter the limbs so you dont lose excessive heat from arms and legs.

Asians are more paedomorphic or neotenized meaning that they retain more child like features when adult compared to Caucasians. One reason to that is less levels of testosterone.

To me it looks like this is part genetic. However, it seems that you get shorter when you live around the "desert strip" around the globe. But once you get farther north to where the earth ir richer in minerals (think where the black earth is found), people start getting taller again. In china there is alot of black earth up in heliongjiang. In usa, you find alot up in dakota, and canada, russia and ukraine has alot. But once you get far north again, people get shorter yet again. In far northern europe, the sami are shorter. Same with inuits and eskimos, for the same reason you stated.

Because what I see from the very source you used is that Spain isn't 1.70 but 1.78 (2001) for males and 1.66 for females.

If you are calculating averages using both males and females, then Japan, Germany and Sweden should be having lower rates than those you wrote.

In east Asia Koreans are the tallest, they got both the genetics and nutrition. Average is almost like Europeans.

Northern Chinese are almost as tall as Koreans.
Southern Chinese are short compared to northern east Asians.

Middle Chinese are somewhat in between.

Dividing spain like they've done to Italy would seem much more correct too. In andalucia they look very arabic (arab invasion), while in catalonia and the north they look german or even scandinavian (visi gothic). So there are huge differences on where in Spain they have gatherred the information.

Then again, you are probably right in terms of the eyes. The reason europeans don't have eyes like that is due to the warm ocean waters comming from the gulf of mexico. So it isn't as cold here as it should be considering the northern latitude.

That source you are using is outdated at least in regards to Spain. The Wikipedia one is more exact since they have sources to real studies that are way more recent (at least 2000+).

Btw, it's true people from Andalusia tends to be darker but I don't think there is really a huge difference between north and south regarding looks or height. Remember that in Spain there have been huge migration movements because of the civil war, the '50, the '80, etc. Taking your example, most Catalonians come from other parts of Spain! SO maybe that's why neither the Wikipedia nor your source divided Spain as they did with Italy.

Well, I know quite a few spanish people (most of whom are actually either from barcelona or andalucia), and I've lived there a short while (in Fuengirola near Malaga, Andalucia), and the people there look deffinately different from people in barcelona or the basque. In average. But yes, it has mixed a bit since the civil war, but not so much. And the "darker" people in catalonia has mostly moved there after that war.
